Analysis of Electrical Characteristics and Geothermal Favorable Area At The Tianchi Volcano Area In Changbai Mountain

As a mineral resource, geothermal resource is a kind of renewable energy with high cleanliness. A 2-d magnetotelluric sounding profile with a length of about 106km in the tianchi volcanic rock area of Changbai Mountain was deployed to analyze the deep electrical structure beneath the crater and the geothermal favorable area near the crater. Due to the strong electromagnetic noise in changbai Mountain scenic area, the MT data were processed by using remote reference processing, Robust processing, Rhoplus analysis, tensor impedance decomposition and resistivity and phase reciprocal calculation based on one-dimensional layered medium. The two-dimensional electrical structure section was constructed. The results show that: There is an obvious vertical type magma channel under The Tianchi crater, and an obvious low resistivity anomaly body exists at a depth of about 7km near the northern direction of the crater, which is connected with the magma channel. It is speculated that the anomaly body may be a magma chamber developed in the shallow surface, and may be related to the hot springs distributed on the surface above. As the depth increases, the crust low resistivity anomaly bodies are wildly developed in the depth of 13km to 30km, northern the position of 20 km south from Tianchi volcano, and it is speculated that there may be active magma capsules in the crust. The 7 low resistivity anomaly zones distributed along the electrical section may be geothermal favorable areas.
