The Realization Path of Green Innovation In Energy Legislation -- An Empirical Study Based On Geothermal Energy Listed Companies In China

Green innovation requires enterprises not only to improve their technological innovation capability in the process of production and operation, but also to take up the social responsibility of green development. Under the background of "double carbon", China's Energy Law encourages the priority development of renewable energy and emphasizes the clean and low carbon energy supply, but there are still many shortcomings in the status of energy legislation. An empirical study with geothermal energy listed companies as a sample finds that government subsidies in energy legislation can play a social effect of motivating enterprises to improve their green innovation ability, and the level of local green finance legislation and ecological environmental protection legislation both have a certain influence on the play of such social effect. Accordingly, China should improve the energy legislation system and pay attention to its connection with external laws such as the Environmental Protection Law and the Patent Law; it should enhance the operability of incentives such as government subsidies and green credit, and implement different legal policies according to the type of energy and the nature of enterprises to achieve the unification of legal and social effects.
