Evaluation, Development and Utilization of Geothermal Resources In Liaohe Oilfield

As a large-scale Meso-Cenozoic rifted basin, formed by the inter-shearing and disturbance of multiple faults, Liaohe oilfield has good sandstone geothermal development conditions. The resource survey of the oilfield has been carried out from the aspects of heat source, heat reservoir, channels and so on, and the method of large-scale heat reservoir modeling has been utilized to complete the resource evaluation of heat reservoirs. On this basis, the development and utilization of geothermal resources in life and industry has begun. After more than ten years of hard work, geothermal development and utilization technologies have been formed gradually with the characteristics of Liaohe Oilfield, such as the completion of medium-deep geothermal wells in Liaohe Oilfield, water withdraw of high gas geothermal water, geothermal water recharge in sandstone layers, reconstruction of long-term shutdown wells, highly-efficient utilization of heat pumps. Furthermore, numerous geothermal utilization demonstration projects have been built in Liaohe Oilfield and local areas. It has played a positive role in geothermal development and utilization.
