Distribution Characteristics of High-Temperature Geothermal Resources and Suggestions On Power Generation Development In Tibet
High-temperature geothermal resources in Tibet is strictly controlled by the Indian-Eurasian plate subduction tectonic zone and active tension fault zone. High temperature geothermal fields are concentrated in southern Tibet to the south of the Bangong Lake- Nujiang River suture zone, especially in the north-south direction fault basin or rift that intersects with the Yarlung Tsangpo River deep fault. Enhance heat generation of radioactive elements due to crustal thickening and Local melting bodies formed by deep tectonic movement in the upper crust of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau,provides a strong heat source for the formation of high heat flow anomalies and high temperature geothermal resources in Tibet.The exploration of high-temperature geothermal resources in Tibet is low, the geothermal power generation industry is in its infancy, the installed capacity is small, and the degree of resource development and utilization is extremely low. In view of the problems existing in geothermal exploration, development and utilization in Tibet, this paper puts forward five suggestions for promoting the development of geothermal power generation industry: to establish a diversified fund guarantee system, increase exploration investment and carry out detailed survey and evaluation of high-temperature geothermal resources; to increase research and development of core technologies and make breakthroughs in key technologies; to put forward the geothermal power benchmark feed-in tariff policy to promote the healthy development of geothermal power generation; to straighten out the management mechanism and simplify the pre-stage procedures of geothermal power generation projects; to strengthen supervision and inspection of geothermal tail water recharge, effectively protect the environment and promote the sustainable development and utilization of geothermal resources.
