The Development Path and Cooperation Space of Geothermal Industry Between Hungary and China
Hungary is mainly focus on developing medium-to-deep geothermal resource. There are two sets of reservoirs:One is Upper Miocene-Pliocene Pannonian sandstone reservoir and the other is Triassic karstified reservoir. China is developing shallow geothermal resource and medium-to-deep geothermal resource. Both Hungary and China develop geothermal energy mainly for direct utilization, however in different areas. Greenhouse heating is main way of utilization of geothermal energy in Hungary while district heating and cooling consumes a large amount of geothermal energy in China. Hungary and North China have lots of similarity of medium-to-deep geothermal resources such as genesis types, reservoirs conditions, temperature and volume conditions, thus, these two countries should fully learn from each other’s advanced development experience and deepen cooperation in areas such as sandstone reservoirs reinjection, power generation and hot dry rocks development. China and Hungary should make full use of opportunities of “The Belt and Road” and let geothermal be an important area of cooperation to promote its development in these two countries.
