Integrated Gis Model For Geothermal Well Pad Selection For Confirmation Well: A Case of Nage Prospect
First well in the geothermal prospect as a confirmation well will be the riskiest well in term of cost and result. Multi discipline data was used to determine well pad location in early stages of geothermal field development. From subsurface geoscience model, topographic data to LIDAR survey data were integrated using Boolean models in a Geographical Information System (GIS). Both data and knowledge driven technique were employed to determine quantitative input parameters. The methodology was used to propose 5 (five) well pad locations in Nage Field, Ngada Regency, The East Nusa Tenggara Province. The proposed locations were check manually in 3D geoscience model to determine proposed feed zone targets and well total depth. Final result is well pad location favorable map and well pad location ranking for confirmation well.
